President Vladimir Putin’s Gratitude Was Announced to Rasikh Sagitov

Russian President Vladimir Putin presented an appreciation letter to Rasikh Sagitov, Secretary General of the Eurasia Regional Section of UCLG. The relevant decree was published on the official Internet portal of legal information on Thursday, December 29, 2022. According to the decree of the President, the gratitude is expressed for labor achievements and many years of conscientious work.

Rasikh Sagitov has been working in the sphere of international inter-municipal cooperation for over 30 years. He stood at the origins of a new stage of development of the international intermunicipal movement and the creation of the World Organization “United Cities and Local Governments” (UCLG). His activity plays a key role in consolidating local governments of Eurasia that are a single community with a common history, mentality and language of interethnic communication.

The work being carried out by Rasikh Sagitov still contributes to the Eurasian integration. Rasikh Sagitov steadily ensures the representation of local governments of Russia and the CIS in the governing bodies of the UCLG World Organization. Thus, local governments of Russia and the CIS are well represented in the international municipal movement, and their opinion is taken into account in the decision-making process.
