Eurasia Cities Became Winners of the Contest

Member cities of UCLG-Eurasia became winners of the 7^th All-Russian contest of the best projects on creating a comfortable urban environment.

Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Almetyevsk succeeded in the contest for landscaping the embankment of the Ozernovskaya spit and improving the coast of the Almetyevsk reservoir respectively among towns with a population from 100,000 to 200,000 people.

Troitsk (for the improvement of the embankment of the 5^th microdistrict) and Magadan (for landscaping the territory of the “Park Mayak” site and the area from the sports ground to the observation platform “Pirs”) received the highest scores among towns with a population from 50 to 100 thousand people.

In addition, in the category of towns with a population of up to 20 thousand people, recognition was given to the towns of Mamadysh (for the project of the park of extreme and winter sports) and Magas (for landscaping the Park Area of Alania Square).

This was the second contest in 2022. In total, including both contests, 800 projects from 81 subjects of the Russian Federation were submitted for federal funding. At the same time, according to the results of competitions for 2022, it is scheduled to create 8,000 jobs.

It is important to note that thanks to this contest, budget funds go to small towns, which entails their transformation. Every such project is a celebration for citizens.
