Comrat Is Improving Sewerage Networks

In February 2024, an agreement was signed between the Agency for Regional Development of Gagauzia, the Comrat Municipality and the Valdcongrup SRL contractor on implementing the project called “The extension of urban sewerage networks in the Tank Microdistrict of Comrat”.

The project being introduced under the National Programme for Cities Growth Poles Development in the Republic of Moldova for 2021-2027 is intended to give an impetus to the development of the Tank district, to improve the living conditions of citizens, as well as to reduce the groundwater pollution. This project will contribute to the increase in coverage of household sewerage services in the Municipality of Comrat. The project will enable to achieve many effects, including economic, social and environmental ones.

The project is being implemented by the Agency for Regional Development of Gagauzia, funded by the National Fund for Regional and Local Development of the Republic of Moldova. The beneficiary is the Municipality of Comrat providing co-financing in the form of contribution.
