Acting Mayor of Krasnoyarsk Vladislav Loginov held a meeting with the delegation of Kokshetau of the Republic of Kazakhstan led by Akim of the city Baurzhan Gaisa. The event was attended by Chairperson of Krasnoyarsk City Council of Deputies Nataliya Firyulina.

The delegation of Kokshetau arrived in the city on August 26. As part of their visit, guests participated in festive events dedicated to the 396th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk, as well as learned the experience of city management.

During the meeting, Vladislav Loginov and Baurzhan Gaisa signed a memorandum of trade-economic and cultural and humanitarian cooperation of Krasnoyarsk Administration and Kokshetau Municipality. The Parties to the memorandum expressed their intent to build relations between the cities, enhance partnership in production, entrepreneurship and social spheres, as well as to strengthen cultural ties.

“We value the relationship that has formed with the Republic of Kazakhstan to this day in different areas, including education, culture, sports. We are open to expanding interaction in various formats, in particular through establishing close friendships between the cities”, Vladislav Loginov said.

“The signing of the memorandum is a historic event that opens up new opportunities for unlocking the potential of our cities. We have much common ground. Kokshetau is not as big as Krasnoyarsk, but it is an industrial city, therefore the integration in this field is of interest for us. Also, we would like to get acquainted with the experience of Krasnoyarsk in improvement of the city, housing and public utilities, functioning of life support systems”, Baurzhan Gaisa noted. “It is a great honor for us to share the joy of celebrating City Day with citizens these days. On our part, we invite Krasnoyarsk delegation to visit Kokshetau and take part in the events related to the 200th anniversary of our city in 2024.”
