“A Mobile Assistant” for Passengers with Disabilities

In the branch office of the All-Russian Society of the Blind, the Central District, specialists of the Krasnoyarskgortrans informed the visually impaired people how the Mobile Assistant service works.

People with disabilities should visit the Mobile Assistant website, indicate the number of the relevant route and the stop where they are located. The service will automatically inform the driver about a passenger with special needs waiting for him at a certain stop. The crew will meet a special passenger and help him to accommodate in the cabin.

For the time being, 75 users with disabilities have been registered in the Mobile Assistant system, 13 of them with visual disabilities, 62 are low-mobile citizens.

The work on improving the services of the accessible environment in Krasnoyarsk is being carried out systematically. For example, a working group consisting of representatives of public organizations has been formed to respond promptly to requests of people with disabilities and receive the feedback.
