Moscow is ready to adopt Kazan’s experience

The issues of cultural and economical cooperation were discussed today at the meeting of Kazan Administration and Moscow delegation.

Moscow days in Tatarstan took place in 25-26 august 2011. The agenda of the official Russian Federation delegation was quite rich. Among the Moscow guests were the 1rst Deputy Head of Culture Department of Moscow, Anna Popova, deputy Inter-regional collaboration Department of Moscow, Yuriy Nuzhdin, deputy head of competitive policy department of Moscow, Oleg Burtsev and other official figures. Kazan was represented by deputy head of municipality Rustam Nigmatullin, 1rst deputy Mayor of Kazan Irshat Minkin, 1rst deputy Head of Minicipality for social affairs Zuhra Nigmatullina, and the managers of Minicipality departments.

As Yuriy Nuzhdin remarked, Tatarstan and its capital will always leave indelible impressions for its visitors. We are frequent guests here, last time we were here in February this year. Honestly, we are always positively surprised. Kazan sets unreal goals, and yet manages to achieve them”, said Yuri Nuzhdin.

Moscow guests remarked that they are ready to adopt Kazan’s experience in solving certain urban issues. Perhaps, Moscow resting on its laurels has missed our something. We’ll gladly learn from you”, Nuzhdin said.

In his turn, Irshat Minkin was telling the Moscow guests about the programmes which are currently being realized in Kazan, namely, about the development of transport and sport infrastructure.

Zuhra Nigmatullina reported about the social programmes, including the republican project “Belekech” enabling kindergarten and pre-school institutions facilities to the children of Kazan.

First deputy of Culture Department of Moscow, Anna Popova, remarked this Moscow municipality shares the similar objective. She also emphasized that Kazan, despite ifs dynamic development keeps maintaining comfortable living for its citizens and guests.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed about the further development.
