REPRESENTATIVE GOVERNMENTS OF KHABAROVSK AND YAKUTSK AGREED TO COOPERATE AND COLLABORATE

A protocol of intent to cooperate and collaborate between Yakutsk City Duma and Khabarovsk City Duma was signed by representatives of these governments on September 12, 2022, in Yakutsk.

Yakutsk City Duma was represented by First Deputy Chairman Evdokiya Evsikova. Yury Yagodin, Acting Chairman, signed the protocol on behalf of Khabarovsk City Duma.

“Further development of the local government system is not possible without joint efforts of municipalities of the Far Eastern Federal District, without strengthening links between cities”, the participants of the meeting highlighted.

“Khabarovsk City Duma is convinced that the interaction between representative bodies is the basis to develop efficient cooperation in all spheres of local self-governments’ activities. In the context of the information pressure, an information war unleased against our Motherland and the course of the President of Russia, it is especially important to consolidate efforts to strengthen the constitutional system and implementation of Orders from the President of Russia related to the development of local self-government as one of the fundamental pillars of the Russian system of people power”, Acting Chairman of Khabarovsk City Duma Yury Yagodin commented the signing of the document.

Representative governments of Khabarovsk and Yakutsk intend to conclude an agreement on cooperation and collaboration in the legislative activity by the end of 2022.
