Russian Cities Develop Cooperation Within the Framework of a Five-party Agreement

Representatives of Blagoveschensk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Nizhny Novgorod (Russia) and Heihe, Zhuhai (China) met online to discuss the five-sided Protocol of Intent to establish friendship and cooperation.

The participants discussed a plan of joint activities for 2023, as well as initiatives in education, sports, tourism and culture. It should be noted that this Protocol was signed last November. Such format of cooperation between the municipalities is unique in many ways. General plans of the parties to the agreement include expansion of multidimensional social and economic relations between the cities, strengthening of scientific, cultural and educational cooperation, strengthening of traditions of good neighborliness and hospitality, including through the development of tourism.
