MONGOLIA WILL HAVE THE "KRASNOYARSKY"PARK

Recently, Governor of Krasnoyarsk Region Alexander Uss with his wife took part in planting birches in the National Park of Ulaanbaatar. Together with them, trees were planted by Speaker of the Khural citizens’ representatives of Ulaanbaatar Zhantsan Batbayasgalan.

"Trees are well suited for the climatic zone of Mongolia. The country has faced the problem of desertification: less than 8 per cent of the area is now covered by forests. Therefore the "Billion Trees" programme has been launched here - that is how many are going to be planted by 2030".

"Krasnoyarsk Region has already started cooperating with its neighbors in this area - our region is growing spruce and Siberian pine seedlings, which take root well in Mongolia. Krasnoyarsk scientists are ready to help Mongolian colleagues to create forest nurseries in Ulaanbaatar", as reported on the page of Alexander Uss in the social network "Vkontakte".

In the future, one of the parks in the capital of Mongolia will be called “Krasnoyarsky”. Such a proposal has been made by Speaker of Khural citizens’ representatives of Ulaanbaatar Zhantsan Batbayasgalan.
