Yalta Strengthens Its Position in the International Arena. Part 1

The UCLG-Eurasia’s member city of Yalta is preparing to conclude twinning agreements with the cities of Cardenas and Havana (Cuba). For this purpose, the official Crimean delegation held a number of meetings in the Republic of Cuba.

Yanina Pavlenko, Mayor of Yalta, noted that the communication with members of the Government of the capital of Cuba turned out to be so cordial that they sang “Katyusha” together: many of them studied in the Soviet Union, were in “Artek” and kept warm memories of our country.

During the visit, members of the Crimean delegation also visited the largest in Latin America Our Lady of Kazan Orthodox Cathedral, communicated with compatriots living in Cuba, held talks on cooperation with the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).

The Crimean delegation included Georgy Muradov, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea - Permanent Representative of the Republic of Crimea under the President of the Russian Federation, Irina Kiviko, Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, and Yanina Pavlenko, Mayor of Yalta.
