Zelenodolsk Launched the First Hydrogen-fueled Vessel in Tatarstan

Today, the first innovative hydrogen-fueled recreational vessel in Tatarstan has been launched at the Zelenodolsk plant named after A.Gorky.

The project was developed by the Baltsudoproekt Central Design Bureau of the Krylov State Research Center. The vessel was laid down at the shipbuilding slipway in Zelenodolsk in February 2023. Its length is more than 15 meters, the width is more than 3 meters, passenger capacity - 10 people. The vessel under the control of a two-person crew can sail on calm water at a speed of up to 12 km/h for five hours.

It should be noted that the emergence of such a vessel fueled by alternative energy is an important event in improving the environmental component of river transportation networks and developing the low-carbon industry of the Russian Federation as a whole. The expansion of this industry will significantly reduce the negative human impact on the environment.
